Disneyland Paris September 2017 Day 4

Welcome to day four of my Disneyland Paris adventure! This was our last full day in the park but we sure made the most of it!

We met Minnie Mouse when we entered the park and she was in love with my outfit!

We then queued upto meet the Mouse himself, Mickey Mouse! It felt so special because
nobody else in the queue could watch you meeting him. It was quite hard to get a photo with him though as it was quite darkly lit.

One thing I was never too fussed about doing when I was younger was the railroad, but as I have grown to appreciate the parks and learn more about Walt Disney, my opinion changed completely. It was amazing to observe the park from this perspective and also time to relax. We rode the train full circuit back to Main St.

Our last land to explore was Frontierland in the ollllld west!

It was a little bit rainy but we didn’t let that dampen our spirits…and our first ride of the day was Phantom Manor!

Big Thunder Mountain was one of the rides I had been looking forward to going on the whole holiday, and it has been recently renovated. I had forgotten how fast this ride goes but it was so much fun.

Quite a lot of the Halloween decorations were already out in Frontierland during our visit, I loved the Mexicana and Day of the Dead theming outside the Fuente Del Oro restaurant where we had lunch.

Much like the train, I had never been on the Riverboat before, but after learning about Walt’s love for them, I began to appreciate it in a new light. It had also started to rain very hard so it was good we could take cover but still enjoy ourselves seeing the sights of Thunder Mesa.

In the afternoon, we ventured around some shops and enjoyed exploring Frontierland some more, there’s a lot of scenery you can walk around and learn about the Old West.

Just before we had dinner, we took another ride on Pirates of the Caribbean, which got us in the mood for Captain Jack’s restaurant!

This was formerly known as the Blue Lagoon but with the successes of the film franchise and the recent renovation of the ride, it was re-named. This was probably my favourite restaurant as it really captured the atmosphere of a pirate’s port but also because we could watch other guests on the POTC ride as we dined.

For starters I had the Island-style fish soup

For main I had the oven-baked mahi mahi fish steak in a coconut sauce with rice and peas, and for dessert I had the island-style rice pudding with mango puree.

Of course in honour of Cap’n Jack Sparrow, we had to order a rum cocktail too!

After our delicious meal, we decided to go on a few of our favourite rides again. We went back on It’s a Small World, Star Tours and Space Mountain. But then we thought it wise to head out of the park a little earlier in order to pack our suitcases. Sad times!

I hope you enjoyed this blog post and I’ll be uploading day 5 on Wednesday!
